Biography

Zac Chastain originated from North Georgia, raised astride the north Georgia mountains and the Tennessee state line. He is currently based in Chattanooga and surrounding areas. From an early age, he was influenced by artists and bands including Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Allman Brothers, Hank Williams Jr, Waylon Jennings, and Merle Haggard. His musical style is described as a blend of folk, country, bluegrass, and southern rock 'n' roll, steeped in traditional country, blues, and a touch of rock. His music is at home in any honky-tonk jukebox or on a bar stage.

He has pursued his passion as a solo artist since 2018 and also performs with the group The Cosmic Strangers since 2020. As a member of The Cosmic Strangers, he released the collaboration studio album 'The Sound' in 2022. He led a band touring the Southeast from 2019 to 2023. He has also toured all over the US, opening for artists such as Channing Wilson, Hannah Dasher, The Comancheros, Tony Logue, and Joe Stamm. When not performing music, he enjoys hunting and fishing.
